Subject: Determination of properties of marine soils by geophysical and geotechnical methods: Total Integration of the Data

• The recognition in the sea is very expensive and the stakes are very important. Recently one use the different technique of investigating combining the methods indirect of geophysics and direct of geotechnics by sampling or in-situ tests. Until recently, the treatment of geophysics data (bathymetry, sonar lateral, seismic reflection) and of geotechnics (boring and penetration) was driven of independent manner. The oil companies wish to arrive to models of site integrating the total information of geological, sedimentological, geophysical and geotechnical order on the zone. It is the total integration of data.The objective of my project is to make an advanced decisive in processes of data integration. This methodology will be established and will either be validated outside on the existing data groups collected of the project in weak depth of water. The methodology should apply to recognitions for big depth of water for which such data group is not currently available. In this way, it should be establish some meaningful correlation between seismic speeds (Vp and Vs) of the marine sediments and geological parameters of engineering (shearing resistance, Cu , resistance of penetrometer, qc, etc.).
